Millimeter/Submillimeter and FIR astronomy uncovers otherwise obscured and as such not clearly understood Universe. Only a couple of recent decades modern observatories operating in Tera- and sub-Terahertz range, such as IRAS, Herschel, IRAM, SCUBA, ALMA allowed us to find our Universe a much more diverse in its overall manifestations. These are hundreds of thousands galaxies at the ``cosmic noon’’; this is the entire zoo of galaxies of different morphologies; this is also a completely new insight on star formation process through filamentation of interstellar gas; this is ubiquitous water in star forming regions, protoplanetary disks and throughout the interstellar space, and the picturesque face of the black holes horizon of that we recognized quite recently. Thanks to mm/submm/FIR wavelengths made it possible to look at how a feedback between growing galaxies and their central supermassive black holes operate in the cosmic “dawn” epoch (z>6). Now we want to learn more about the following topics:

  • Relativistic astrophysics: supermassive black holes in our and other galaxies, measurements of the space-time metric, plasma properties in strong gravitational fields, electromagnetic afterglow of gravitational waves;
  • Cosmology: spectral distortions of the CMB, problem of Hubble tension, early objects in the Universe, evolution of the luminosity function of galaxies at cosmological times;
  • Interstellar medium: molecular clouds and star formation, astrochemistry, the origin of dust, features of the dust emission of various objects;
  • The origin of life in the Universe: water in the interstellar medium, complex organic molecules in the ISM, protoplanetary disks, exoplanets, Solar system;
  • Galaxies: luminous infrared galaxies, active galactic nuclei obscured by dust, the circulation of dust in galaxies;
  • Instruments: ground-based mm/submm astronomy, balloon and aircraft mm/submm experiments, space projects.
