Millimetron Space Observatory is a 10-m space cryogenic telescope. Having such large aperture will allow scientific community to perform breakthrough studies in the submillimeter and far-infrared wavelength ranges.
The construction of observatory is too large to fit under the fairing of the launcher. Thus, all large structures are designed to be deployable in orbit after the launch.
